Facebook Marketing Tool Permissions

It is important to be consistent in regards to how your team accesses the Facebook Marketing Tool. Please follow the login recommendations below to ensure that you are able to successfully post ads to Facebook. The diagram below is a view of the Facebook Marketing Tool Dashboard that corresponds with the numbered settings.

1. Facebook: Login as yourself

2. Facebook Ads Account: We recommend using one account per business. Add Admin Permissions through Facebook to anyone else within the business who will be posting ads through Facebook. Facebook Ad Account Permissions can be updated at the following link: https://www.facebook.com/ads/manager/account/settings. The images below indicate how to add Facebook Ad Account Admins after clicking on this link. Once in the Ads Dashboard of the Facebook Marketing Tool, confirm that you are in the correct Ads Account by looking at the account selected in the Top Navigation Bar. To change to the correct Ads Account, you can click on the Account and a dropdown menu of the Ads Accounts that you administer will appear.

3. Facebook Business Page: Create one page per business. Add Admin Permissions through Facebook to anyone else within the business who will be adding content to or creating ads for the business through Facebook. The images below indicate how to add Facebook Business Page Admins after clicking on this link. Once in the Ads Dashboard of the Facebook Marketing Tool, confirm that you are posting to the correct Business Page by looking at the page selected in the Top Navigation Bar. To change to the correct Business Page, you can click on the Account and a dropdown menu of the Business Pages that you administer will appear.

4. Real Geeks Platform: Login as yourself. The Site Owner must enable Facebook Admin Permissions for any team member that will need access to the Facebook Marketing Tool. Confirm this with your Site Owner if you need access to the tool. The Site Owner can change User Facebook Admin permissions by following these instructions: http://docs.realgeeks.com/account_permissions.

5. Website: Confirm that you are linking the correct Real Geeks website associated to your account.
